The rice is the first largest cereal crops of our country. It is also the only agricultural product with certain international competitiveness in large agricultural products, such as grain, cotton and oil of our country. With the accession to the WTO and the structure strategical reajustment of agriculture and rural economy of our country , how the rice promotes its own competitiveness to meet the new pattern of rice production and consumption in the 21st century, have already caused the concern in many ways.The research contents of this thesis include three parts:First, in studying the foundation of the theory development course of competitiveness, this research carry on the discussion to the theoretical question of the agricultural product competitiveness. This paper analyse and define agricultural product international intension, influence factor of competitiveness, And its relation with comparative advantage of agricultural products.etc..Second, this paper estimated the international competitiveness of the rice of our country. No matter viewed from the current situation of the international competitiveness or from potentiality of the international competitiveness. Chinese rice all have certain international competitiveness, but its competitiveness has the tendency to drop.Third, this paper Carry on the discussion to of our country equilibrium of supply and demand and potentiality issue of trade of rice. Face population peak of the middle of this century, Chinese rice can not merely keep the equilibrium of supply and demand . Still have certain trade potentiality.Finally, combining and studying conclusion . this paper proposed the countermeasure and suggestion of raising our country rice international competitiveness.
