The Research Of The CMST's Changing Into A Modern Comprehensive Logistics Company

Modern logistics is considered very important to the development of china's economy. The country has regarded it as one of the most important tasks in the 15lh economy plans.As a traditional state enterprise specializing in storage transportation, the company of China Material Storage Transportation (CMST hi short) made the strategy in 2000 to change into a modem comprehensive logistics company to face the increasing competition in china's markets.This paper has done following researches.First, analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of the CMST and also the market opportunities and threats of the current logistics market.Secondly, researched the necessity and the importance for the CMST to carry out business process reengineering (BPR in short), and estimated the value of the results and methods.Thirdly, researched the relationship between the modern logistics and E_business, and introduced the main functions of the Digital Storages System and also make estimation.Finally, gave some detailed suggestions.The author hopes that the researches of this paper could provide valuable information to the CMST and other companies.
