After China entering the 21st century, the "5+1 "competition pattern has been gradually formed with the splits and recombination for several times, and positive competition has been spread among the top 6 telecom providers.This paper does some researches and analyses on marketing strategies, and the object is personal handy-phone system (PHS) mobile communication business of Guangzhou Telecom. First it analyses the trade status of the telecommunication service market in China, and introduces its scale, the main providers and the development trend of market. Then it goes deep into the strategies and situation analysis of Guangzhou Telecom' s entering mobile telecommunication business, including the situation analyses of internal and external enterprise, as well as SWOT, and also arises some strategies for Guangzhou Telecom' s developing PHS mobile communication market based on the market potential analyses and orientation of target market. Lastly, it points out the market strategies of developing PHS mobile communication business.
