Development is one of the main topic in our society. Nowadays the whole society is in its way of progress. At the same time because of the diversity of resources and the fluxion of production factor between regionswhich caused by the instability of region economy system the economy disparity in diverse regions is increasing. Areal discrepancy is a global phenomenon. The income of the richest country is more than 100 times of the poorest country's. Moreover there is different levels of economy imbalance in every country. No more than the areal discrepancy in big countries is more graveness than in small countries, so do the poor countries and the rich countries. Areal discrepancy has variously influence on the economy and society. Heavy and durative expansile areal iscrepancy will influence the rational configuration of resources and do harm to the development of national economy and go against to the stability of society.Oweing to the imbalance development stratagem which emphasize particularly on east coastland the economy devolpment speed of Fujian province ranker former among the whole country all long after the innovation and opening. But imbalance development will cause a series'of matter in social equality and the people centripetal force etc. In fact inland is the directhinterland and market of coastland. Their lag will directly restrict the evolution of coastland and stave the development of the whole province.It is time for us to envisage the areal discrepancy While China entered"WTO" . It is meaningful to analyze the cause of formation of the undveloped area and looking for the motivity of evolution. In doing so we can make out right countermeasure for inproving in new century and promote aharmony development.This thesis summized the practices and experiences of the research a bout the demarcating of the countryside economy , introduced the theory a nd method of how to demarcate the ural economy of Fujian province into f our typies-developed, subdeveloped, semi-developed and undeveloped by theDelphi method. Then analyzed the cause of formation of he undeveloped ar eas. Based on the analyse we classified the undeveloped area into four su b-type: west mountain area ub-type, northeast mountain area sub-type, nor theast coastal area sub-type, southeast mountain area sub-type Furthermor e we analysized the developing condition of these four sub-type and cone luded the advantage and disvantage of erery sub-type. Then it sumed up th e main theory and mode of area development, int-roduced the circumstance for developing. In the end it brought forward the main developing aspectand measure for every four sub-type. The thesis just studied the develo pment of undeveloped region in Fujian province . I wish it can do some go od to the study of other regions and other types of system.
