| It has become a strategy and a trend at present or even in future to develop urban track traffic, which is necessary for facilitating sustainable development of urban traffic system, promoting urban economic construction, improving traffic conditions and urban environment, relieving traffic jam, and meeting the increasing demand for urban traffic system after China becoming a member of WTO. Based on urban economic situation, landform, geographical condition, and overall layout of the city, urban track traffic should be developed coordinatively under the guidance of multi-layering, multi-functioning and stereo positioning. The subway and light track have been put into operation in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Which are effectively arranged for construction in other cities, such as Wuhan, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Qingdao, Dalian, Chengdu. Cross-saddle single-track traffic system is under construction in Chongqing, which is unprecedented in China.Cross-saddle single-track traffic system is invented by integrating the technology of cargo transportation, facilities in amusement park and urban track traffic. With the technological advance and higher demand for urban environment, this system has been well developed and become one of the middle-sized volume traffic modes in cities. This system has been put into operation in Japan, Europe, and America with certain operational routes. It is better developed and used in Japan than in other countries, In Japan, it is used or promoted to use in big cities as a kind of new traffic modes. However, cross-saddle single-track traffic system is unprecedented in China. Based on the designing standards and norms of subway and light-track of China, in viewing of relevant guidance and standards ofJapan, this thesis describes in details features of this system and developing prospect in China, by combining rich experiences on urban traffic management in our country and the practice of the system in Chongqing. Moreover, in this thesis, the author explores such relevant aspects as train operating routing, minimum running intervals, traffic organization, schedule, station management, ticket management, ticket pricing, office organization, staff marshalling, management mode on transportation command, operational device and maintenance system, safety management and hazard resistance of the system as a whole. The thesis provides some insights and references for the design and operational management of the urban cross-saddle single-track traffic system. |
