Studies On Container Shipping Of Liaoning Province

The thesis deals with a practical problem of container shipping in Liaoning Province. The invention and employment of container shipping has caused an important revolution in the field of transportation, for it greatly saves time and reduces costs. As an advanced transportation mode, container shipping represents the trend of sundry goods transportation, and forcefully promotes the development of trade and economy. Since China entered WTO, the country's economy and foreign trade have accelerated developments, which brings a much more broader prospect for the country's container shipping industry. However, compared with others, the province's container shipping obviously lags behind, with less shipping lines, insufficient output as well as relatively backward software and hardware. Thus, strengthening the construction of container shipping systems in the province's coastal ports is not only necessary for social and economic developments but also essential to the promotion of regional economic development and to opening wider to the outside world. Based on researches in social and economic environment of Liaoning Province as well we its economic center, and through analyzing the province's container shipping market and present systematic state, the thesis compares the development of Dalian Port and other ones.
