| The thesis is about how the Material Company of Guangdong Electric Power Group integrates its purchasing/supplying operation processes to adapt to the changing environment. The thesis consists of two parts, one part is the case and the other is case analysis.In the first part, by introducing the background, organizational structure, working status and opportunities and challenges facing the Guangdong Electric Power Group, the author describes the operations mode, business processes and information system of its material company in detail.In the second part, firstly, with the development of deregulation, the author points out that the Guangdong Electric Power Group must be reformed to adapt to the furiously competitive market. Considering the characteristics of electric power industry, the author expatiates the importance in material management of the Guangdong Electric Power Group. Secondly, by applying the logistic theory in value chain analysis, the author identifies the problems in material management of the Guangdong Electric Power Group. After benchmarking in material management, the author indicates that it is necessary for the Group to redesign its material management system. Finally, by combining qualitative with quantitative method, the author redesigns material management structure, business processes and information system of the Group, puts forward with the criteria evaluating the material management system and points out the improvement direction. |
