| Network enterprises are growing up rapidly at the age of network economy. Webmerger, as a new phenomenon appeared in the course of network enterprises'growth, is a meaningful question for discussion both in theory and in practice.In this thesis, we firstly give an overview on the theory of growth of enterprise, the theory of merger&acquisition, and the development on the webmerger research. Then, on the basis of a number of emerging features in network economy and the relationship between network economy and traditional economy, we intend to explore the motivation behind the webmerger in this thesis. Combined with case study on M&A deal between AOL and Times&Warner, we make an analysis on the relationship between webmerger and the growth of enterprise from different aspects. We believe that webmerger will largely promote the growth of network enterprise. |
