Research On Ferry Market Around Bohai

In October of 1993,the Ministry of Communications issued an act "Implementation of Open-up of Ferry Market in Bohai Gulf". Since then the ferry market in this area has developed greatly, at the same time, some problems also appeared.Based on the relevant data collected and investigated, this paper analyzed the development and the current state, it also concluded the main problems of the ferry market around Bohai. The prediction was made in the volume of ferry in main routes by Time Sequence Prediction method. Some problems of the structure of the ferry fleet were studied. The balance of transport capability was analyzed, the balanced planning of transport capability around Bohai was made. The conclusions and suggestions were made in this paper in terms of regulations and controls of freight, structure of transport capability, safe problems and ferry market operations.
