Logistics Models For Enterprises Based On E-business

Modern logistics are widely regarded as the third profit source of enterprises as well as decreasing of material consumption and increasing of labor-production rate. Effective logistics management is playing more and more important role in decreasing cost, retaining customers, and upgrading customers' satisfaction. Logistics should be the important source of enterprise core competence and differential competition advantage. As relying highly on information, logistics management needs support of network technology. The development of Electronic Business (EB) technology makes up for the shortcomings of traditional logistics supply chains and provides technology support for modern logistics development. How to construct a highly-effective modern logistics system and strengthen logistics management capability is a strategic problem which any enterprise must take seriously and make respective decisions.This paper tends to take some research on using EB technology and Supply Chain Management (SCM) theory to increase the level of logistics management for enterprises. The key parts are included as following:Firstly, this paper analyzes the defects of traditional logistics managementand the fundamentals of enterprise logistics management-------SCM.Development of logistics forces enterprise to place emphasis on SCM model and actively practice it. Secondly, this paper analyzes the effect ions of EB on logistics supply chain and modern logistics management. Thirdly, this paperputs forward enterprise logistics management model in new environment------Electronic Supply Chain (ESC) management model and gives procedures of the construction of ESC.The paper includes five parts:The first chapter retraces the history and development procedures of logistics management and concept of modern logistics. On the other hand, this chapter analyzes the defects of traditional logistics management. Development of modern logistics requests enterprises to practice SCM model.The second chapter mainly introduces conception and background of SCM, basic ideology and characters of SCM as well as new traits of logistics under theenvironments of SCM. The core of logistics management is to optimize enterprise supply chain.The third chapter analyze the affection of EB on logistics management. EB provides technology support for logistics. It links all the joiners in the logistics supply chain to be a whole and realizes electronic management of supply chain.The fourth chapter introduces conception, background and core ideology of ESC and put forward construction procedures of ESC.The fifth chapter analyzes present situation of logistics management in our country and gives measures to strengthen logistics management of enterprises.
