An Exploration Of The Magnification Of Class Struggle

Being composed of four parts, this thesis tries to implore into the developing process of the theory and practice of the errors of the Magnification of Class Struggle (MOCC) and find out its reasons.As the start point, the first part makes out the detonation of MOCC, based on the Marxism theory of class and class struggle. It argues that MOCC mean the appearance of magnifying the class struggle existed in some degree in the guiding ideology and practice during the socialism period because of kinds of reasons. As recognition, it is the magnification of class struggle in the socialism period target, status, existing time, style, tendency, etc. As practice, it embodies on three aspects: magnifying class struggle in the real life, intensifying social contradictions and making social chaos artificially under the name of 'class struggle', sharpening and fabricating real class struggle.The second part of the thesis has made a longitudinal survey of the developing process of MOCC from the aspect both of theory and practice. In the time near and before it's eighth national convention, CCP has a correct attitude to class struggle (Although some errors had appeared during the period of transition.) However, in the Anti Right-faction movement in 1957, we had magnifying the class struggle both in theory and in practice. The errors of MOCC were appearing. During the struggle against Right Deviation in 1959, the party began to look itself as the main struggle field in practice and in theory, it began to associate different views in the party with the class struggle in the society. The error of MOCC went much further. During the time of the tenth concession of the eighth central committee, the theory of 'making class struggle as the guiding principle' had taken shape. What's more, the socialism training movement of 1960s is a widespread practice of MOCC under the direction of the ideology of MOCC, which intensified the mistakes of the latter vise verse. The mistakes of MOCC became worse and worse, at last, the theory of 'revolution continuously under proletarian dictatorship' formed, and the county-wide chaos and the Lin Biao and Jiang Qing contra-revolution cliques appeared in the period of the "Great Cultural Revolution". The errors of MOCC came to its acme.The third part analysis four factors which had lead to MOCC: the background(including international circumstance, inner country circumstance and tradition), political and economical system (the emergence and accumulation of social contradictory, spontaneous reformation and the high centralization system of policy-decision), the thoughts of Mao Tse-tung and other central leaders (the views of socialism, class dividing standard, the transition period and the restoration of capitalism ),and the mass' participation (its reason and its effects). These four factors acted coordinately and made the errors of MOCC develop as endless vicious circle.At last, the thesis summarizes five big lessons of MOCC: we must look economic construction as our work center, we must deal with the class struggle wisely, quicken the tempo of socialism democracy (including democracy in the party ) and legal system construction, safeguard a stable and unite political surroundings, and strengthen the 'theory construction' of the party.
