With the maturity of our steel and iron industry and the accomplishment of Pang Gang's Second Phase Project, the scale of Pang Gang will be expanded no more. Its strategic stress will be transferred to adjustment and optimization of the product structure, so as to realize the intensive operation of steel and iron products. The company will transfer manpower, material and financial resources onto the synthetic use of the resources so as to develop a new economic growth for Pang Gang's third leap forward. Now the problem is how to optimize Pang Gang's structure and how to carry on the synthetic use of the resources.This paper, based on the intensive investigation and synthetic review of the coal and chemical industry home and abroad, employs the theory and methodology of strategic analysis and selection to make an intensive analysis of the internal advantage and disadvantage as well as the external opportunity and threat.
