| For many years, Guangdong Telecom, on behalf of the government, is responsible for marketing and management of the communication infrastructure and almost monopolizes the total business of telecom throughout Guangdong Province. With China抯 entry into WTO, Goungdong Telecom has to abolish the monopoly and implement fair competition to meet the incessant development of telecom business. Thus, this paper analyzes the policy and environment confronted by telecom enterprises and probes into the potential and competitive ability in the field of telecom by applying PEST and Porter抯 five competition models. Meanwhile, Guangdong Telecom watches closely the access and means to China抯 telecom operation markets of their foreign counterparts and prepares for the further development. This essay, based on the SWOT analysis, makes clear that Guangdong Telecom should take ambitious and discrete management strategy after China抯 access to WTO, and applies BCG analysis to set up the respective goals responding to the various products and services provided by Goungdong Telecom. In order to reach the goal successfully, a suggestion is proposed by applying the value link analysis to increase the enterprise~ s competitive ability. Finally, this paper synthesizes the results and the strategies of competitors home and abroad, and concludes the development strategy of Guangdong Telecom so as to get the competitive advantages in the furious business markets. |
