This term, although could not found directly in Confucius, Mencius, Xun Zi's remarks, but their thoughts implied the spirit, and had constructed a complete theoretical system."Being Sage Inside" is the moral self-cultivation through internally to improve themselves in order to achieve ideal of moral character;"Being Kingly Outsid" is the extension of one's noble moral character external to a successful career, so people can get grace from the King. They are ins and outs along,but"Being Sage Inside " is fundamental, and " Being Kingly Outsid "is secondary. " Being Sage Inside and Being Kingly Outsid"of The Pre-qin confucian is not just a flat statement which inwards back to the good and evil of human nature to seek a theoretical basis, and outreachs to "Virtue-based, supplemented by punishment" governing strategy as the extension of the theory.In addition,it selects Monarch who possessed the the primacy status and the unrestricted powers as the main body to achieve its vision and the design seems impeccable.
