Horowitz And His Piano Work Adapted From Rachmaninov No.2 Sonata (Op.36)

Rachmaninov ,Russian pianist and composer,whose piano works are famous for hard techniques and deep Russian keynote.His No.2 piano sonata (op.36) is one of them. Because it's too long and hard to play,in 1931, the composer shortened it to a new edition which is called 1931 edition.And Horowitz combined the two editions to a new one.This paper will analyse the performing style of Horowitz,and the No.2 Sonata he adapted.
