Human Geography Research On New German Cinema Movement

New German Cinema movement broke up in early 1960s, experienced nearly 30 years when it has finished before the German reunification. At first, this film reform movement was to change the status of the old German film and creat a unique artistic style of the film for the purpose. In the presence of 20 years, there happened to be a group of outstanding filmmakers led by "new German film The Four" and a large number of films reflecting the reality of history and critical theme. Overview of the Movement, the development of the whole story, the special human geography background of Federal Republic of Germany has played an invaluable role in the decision.The author of the article shose this entry point to research on the mechanism of movement between human geography facters and New German Cinema movement,combined with structural methodology of humanistic geography,political geography, and theory of cultural geography.This study is divided into three main areas:first, the new German film motion in the background of human geography. This part deals with how the politicall,economic,cultural,social and other facters of Federal Republic of Germany in 1945 to 1960s influence on the beginning of New German Cinema movement; Second, the human geography research on the representatives in New German Cinema movement and their Characteristics. This section includes representatives of the new German cinema movement in the introduction, these figures in the creative process by showing the general features of the formation of these features as well as human geography factors; Third, the two major themes of New German Cinema movement and Human Geography Research. This section includes two aspects, first, the new German film works two major themes of reflection and critical introduction to representative works of text and related analysis, followed by the analysis of factors related to human geography, and in further to research on the mechanism of action between them with the two major themes.After the study, the author concluded that:first, all the factors of postwar West Germany's geo-political environment, political statues of the nation, economic and social statues and imbalance between the development of economy and cultural made up the human geography background of the birth of the German Cinema movement; Second, the historical trend determined by Germany's natural and geographical conditions and the German national character played a strong role of the special decisions in creating style of the formation of representatives; Third, the two themes about reflection and critical of the works of New German Cinema are image of factors of human geography of Federal Republic of Germany in that period on one hand,on the other hand,they are happened to be the recults of factors of human geography of Federal Republic of Germany.
