As one of the most important Baroque opera composers, George Frideric Handel (1685 1759) wrote operas based on the experience of the early Italian Baroque style, absorbing a wide range of musical styles of opera. In particular, many arias written for soprano, tenor, castrato are really enjoyable, and they are the beauty of the beauties. With outstanding skills for melody, profound emotion, warm humanism, various styles, rigorous structure, and appropriate band effect in the background, Handel's arias are most magnificent treasures in the history of opera.The author chose soprano aria in Handel's opera Giulio·Cesare(1723) as a research object, and made the point that Handel is far more than other contemporary composers with its incomparable grandness, profoundness, dramatics and lyricism throught the elaboration on Handel's creation in the field of the opera and its contribution, as well as the detailed analysis on the soprano aria in Giulio·Cesare This article is divided into four chapters, solved problem of this setting titil separately from the side of Handel's overall creation in the opera, the drama of Giulio·Caesar and its arias layout, analysis of soprano arias in it and suitable singing of these arias.This article introduces firstly the social outlook of late Baroque, its culture, the clues to Handel's creation, and the rise and fall of his whole career in order to present the features of Handel's operas compared with traditional Italian operas. Then taking the soprano arias in Giulio·Cesare as an example, the author attempts to analyze Handel's artistic features, style and suitable singing presentation. The author also tries to analyze the musical features, artistic techniques, melody, rhythm, expression, breath concerning the recitativos and arias in this production. The article expounds the characteristics of artistic expression of the soprano arias from various perspectives. In the end, the article gives some practical suggestions on how to grasp the singing style of Handel's arias more accurately.
