Early childhood is the key to development of self-control. Seizing this time, it is particularly important to train child's ability of self- control and promote his personal and social development. Interest is essential to organize educational activities and the primary factor to carry out all activities. It is also the prerequisite and guarantee for achieving the goals. Meanwhile, it is one of the factors to put the educational effect into child. With the help of the interesting activities, it is a common problem how to promote the development of child's self-control in educational circles.According to two tables which made by myself: the child's self-control observation table in collective teaching and the child's self-control observation table in role-playing games, and by observing his self-control behaviors in collective teaching and role-playing games, and taking the child's activity as criteria, this thesis uses case study method to know the specific forms of self-control behavior in different activities and the interest's effect on the child's self-control behavior. Combined with the previous theoretical research and the empirical results of the study, it tries to discuss how to improve the child's interest in role-playing games further, and to promote his development of self-control ability with the help of role-playing games. The results show that there are some differences in the child's self-control behavior when he plays different interesting activities. Comparing the self-control in collective teaching with it in role-playing games, we'll find the child do better in the latter. At the same time, by influencing the consciousness, self-control, persistence and the delaying gratification, interests have effect on the child's self-control. However, although the child plays different roles in the same role-playing game, yet the interests have no significant impact on self-control and no obvious difference in self-control behavior.
