The Research Of The Interrogative Sentence Of The Xi Shui County Dialect

The Xi Shui county dialect belongs to southwest Mandarin. Judging from entirety, though southwest Mandarin has been keeping higher compatibility with Putonghua whether in pronunciation or in grammar, but study carefully, each dialect actually has self characteristic. This article studies interrogative sentence of the Xi Shui county dialect, on the basis of abundant language material,by using the interrogative sentence research methods and achievements of Putonghua and other Chinese dialects for reference. In this article contrastive analysis is mainly used, and a more comprehensive depict and thorough analysis has been made for the first time. Also, personal sandpoints are emphasized.This article consists of four chapters:The first chapter is an introduction. Firstly, it has approximately introduced the geography profiles of Xi Shui County, the reason for this aricle topics, related research and solutions to be taken. Secondly, it concerns the Xi Shui county dialect pronunciation characteristics which includes sound. rhyme, tone system. Then some peculiar grammar phenomenon of the dialect has been introduced of which there are also both lexical and syntax.The second chapter is the inspection about nterrogative system.This chapter fully describes some of the common questions about the interrogative words, interrogative pronouns and adverbs of the Xi Shui county dialect. There are seven interrogative words:ga, ha, an, ou, san, man, ma. Interrogative pronouns can be divided into five categories to express time, place, person or thing, quantity or extent, reason or result (purpose or method). Also, the chapter discribes and analyses the more commom adverbs "hapa".The third chapter observes interrogative sentences. The first section is about category of the construction of interrogative sentences. According to the formation and the informational focus of the interrogative sentences, Xi Shui county dialect can be divided into four categories:yes-or-no question, alternative question, specific interrogation and positive rhetorical question. The second section of interrogative sentences system takes four kinds question sentence-type as headrope respectively, fully describes the structural characteristics and grammar significance of yes-or-no question, alternative question, specific interrogation and positive rhetorical quesion.The "bu" of the "VP-not" to the Emptiness in the Significance. The chapter Were diachronic and synchronic study for "VP-bu" sentence in the Xi Shui county dialect. From the grammatical function of the "bu" in the "VP-bu", the comparison of the "VP-not" and "VP-not-VP" and negative words can appear in the "VP-bu" research, proved that "bu"in the "VP-bu" have to the Interrogative conversion trend in the Xi Shui county dialect.
