Research On The Dragon Pattern In Graphic Design

In this paper dragon pattern as the object of study, combined with it in the graphic design of the specific application, we proposed elements which inherit and carry forward the traditional culture, and also need to inject into the modern concept of the traditional culture to make it full of the vitality of the era. Firstly, the paper generalizes the evolution of the ancient dragon pattern in the form of context, and reflects formal aesthetic sense.It summarizes up dragon pattern of the shape changes and manifestations in different historical periods,and from the perspective of the laws of formal beauty describes dragon patterns of change. Secondly, through in-depth analysis application of dragons in the logo design, in the packaging design, in the poster design, and graphic design, it summarizes that auspicious dragons patterns of creation not only inherit and continue the original features and charm, but also posse the distinct characteristics of the times and modern design concepts and make a conclusion which only can the design based on native culture be booming by the world recognized. Thirdly, it interprets the reasons of Chinese nation loving dragons and advocating dragons from the spiritual symbol in dragons, social base, as well as effects of economic and modern design conception on the dragon pattern.
