| Oral wish is one kind of the storytelling aimed at paying back the oral wish. It retains relatively fixed ceremonial actions and speaking and singing procedure. It is an important part of the folk religious activities of Northern Shaanxi, which embodies the psychology of praying for safety and happiness.This thesis, based on field work and case survey, adopting the methods of folkloristics, ethnomusicology, folk literature and art and other methods, to make a deep discussion to the speaking and singing procedure, literature characteristics and music features of Northern Shaanxi countryside oral wish.Besides the introduction, the thesis consists of three chapters:Chapter One, based on the case study, talks about the ceremony and speaking and singing procedure, and reveal the fork religion cultural connotation.Chapter Two is about the literature chatacteristics. In terms of precedure, story model, language characteristic, this chapter explains the literature characteristic of the oral wish storytelling from the oral poetry approach.Chapter Three is about the music features. It will expound the the music features of oral wish storytelling from the aspects of accompaniment instrument,mode,scale characteristics,aria and the kind of labeled melody.Conclusion summarizes the full text.In recent years, along with the progress and development of the society and diversified entertainment, oral wish storytelling, this ancient art form, is facing unprecedented challenges.
