With the development of convention and exhibition industry, exhibition display design which as methods of information communication and diffusion have come into our life and have an important effect on everybody. The core goal is to make the information transmitting quickly. Meanwhile, vision is the most important human consciousness, that in the exhibition information communication and cognitive process played a leading role. Therefore, the problem of the visual information communication in the exhibition display design is worth studying further.The research that based on the exhibition display design takes the visual information transmission as the emphasis point. It adequately generalizes and analysis the backdrop, intention, significance, actuality and direction of the domestic and oversea, combines with the display design, the theory of informatics, the visual psychology and communication theory, concludes systematically the visual information communication of the exhibition display design, studies the factors of the visual information communication and presents an approach to improve the visual information transmission. The main research contents are summarized as follows:Firstly, it imbibes display-design, the theories of informatics, visual psychology, communication, which is discussed by multi-disciplinary, multi-angle ways. It makes clear the important composition of the exhibition information communication process, and sums up the visual information which is analyzed by many aspects, multi-level ways. According to the theories of communication is used to analyze the visual information communication and summarize the dissemination system. On this basis the paper analysis the elements of the process in detail which as theory basic of this study.Secondly, the thesis researches the visual information communication of the elements. Based on the characteristics of the propagator and the audience analysis by the roles of the elements, and expatiate on the functions and influences of it. Emphasize on the audience, and we should insist on "people-oriented". It is helpful to understand and grasp the audience that accept the spread of information law, to provide basis for the propagator, became the design criterion of the exhibition display design. Analysis research in the "medium", I discuss that the elements of the process how to affect the information communication, and indicate that the medium is of great importance by analyzing a large number of domestic and foreign outstanding examples on display design. The results provide evidence for the design principle and the design methods of information communication effectively.Finally, with the above research I drew the design principle and the design methods on how to make the visual information communication more effective in the exhibition display design.The article combines the exhibition display design with multi-disciplinary and pay attention to related problems that study reflecting the level on the human nature and essence of the exhibition display design. The research puts forward a new point of view and expands a new understanding in this domain.
