As is known to all, the meaning and value of display lies on the delivery of information, they convert information to people. While, as a man, 80 percents of information they got stems from vision. Therefore, it's necessary to attach great importance to the outside stimulation in the psychological mechanism and the different design elements. Especially, it's a INFORMATION society today, once audiences entering a display space, facing a large amount of information, they maybe be attracted by only a very small portion, which would resonate in their hearts. The visual psychological research will help us to find the "resonance", which could effectively deliver the information.We Chinese will hold 2008 Olympic Games and the 2010 World Exhibition. It's a crucial moment to integrate her to the international practice. At present, there is a lot of staff in this line, however, they should improve their quality and the design concepts, methods, and means should be updated too. Based on the latest information and ideas from the domestic and international exhibition display, the article creatively brings in the theoretical knowledge of psychology, to discuss how to design exhibition display, which could effectively convey information.The paper, starting with the basic knowledge of display and psychology, sets for relevant theoretical knowledge and points out the basic elements, which are Color, Modeling, Texture and Surface Texture, Light and Shadow effects and so on, then study them respectively. From Chapter Four to Chapter Eight, the content are Space design, Material design, Color design, Optical efficiency design and Display media design. In these parts, we study the mechanism of the psychological vision in various aspects of the design and how we can design better and more efficiently under the guidance of visual psychology.The last part of the paper is the conclusion, including the breakthrough and deficiencies.
