This paper rethink profoundly about the time and space conception of the modern calligraphy theory.Firstly, from the comparison angle of view of the chinese and the west culture, the space and time conception, and the calligraphy space and time conception were contemplated. Then, the space and time conception theory was inquired from the view of history, including: Zhang Yin-lin, Lin Yu-tang, Deng Yi-zhe,Zong Bai-hua,Chen Zhen-lian, Qiu Zhen-zhong, Bai di and so on. The article was broken up with the establishment, with the non-objectification and non-dualistic Chinese-style thinking "Xiang Thinking", deeply understood the traditional thought of "Taoism on Humanism". The purposes were to dissolve the rational thinking when we study the calligraphy time and space conception, and made every effort to activate the describing ways of the ancient book and the modern language statement, caused the cultured carring on the dialog in-depth, and dissolved the barriers between the modern calligraphy theory and the traditional understandings. The last part of this article revealed the flaws of the time and space conception theory from two aspects:first,we focused on using "like" thinking to examine the losing which caused by the comparing between the time and space theory and the traditional "nature" thought;second, the time and space theory influenced the current calligraphy creation direct or indirect, and the formalism that emphase visual effect was in vogue.The paper gave some comments about these two aspects.
