| Professional vocal music education of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region began in the 1950's, when various industries and systems of the country required reconstruction and professional vocal actors and full-time vocal music teachers were scarce. However, with the improvement of the economics and development of the society, the performance of amateurs could no longer satisfy people's increasingly aesthetic demands. And the traditional teaching and training methods of vocal music gradually showed their limitations. Thus, in the middle of the 1950's, Inner Mongolia Normal College Department of Art and Inner Mongolia School of Art established under the support of the party and the government, which initiated the professional vocal music education of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In this thesis, the developments of these two institutions'professional vocal music education were discussed as examples in order to explore the early development of professional vocal music education in Inner Mongolia region.The thesis included following sections:The introduction part contained main content of this thesis, the sources of the topics, the basic research, purposes of research, and innovations of the research.The first chapter briefly introduced the background of early development of professional vocal music education in Inner Mongolia region, including the historical background, social needs, an overview of the development of vocal music in Inner Mongolia and primary development of professional vocal music education in Inner Mongolia region. The development of Singing and Dancing Troupe of Inner Mongolia and Inner Mongolia Wulanmuqi was described, because they played important roles in the development of professional vocal music education in Inner Mongolia. In addition, the experience of the two early-established art training schools had laid the foundations of early development of professional vocal music education in Inner Mongolia region.The second chapter separately introduced the development of professional vocal music education of Inner Mongolia Normal College Department of Art and Inner Mongolia School of Art from 1954 to 1966. Introductions the initial construction of the institution, students sources, admission regulations, formation of teachers, major settings, instruction process, academic exchange, artistic practice, rewards and punishments systems to students and career educations.The third chapter gave a conclusion of the development of professional vocal music education of Inner Mongolia Normal College Department of Art and Inner Mongolia School of Art from 1954 to 1966, also referred the contrast between the two institutions. |
