Study On Chinese Transliterations Of Mongolian Personal Names

This thesis has studied Chinese transliteration of Mongolian personal names into in Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region. The thesis consists of introduction, main body (including four chapters), conclusion, bibliography and appendixes.In the introduction part, the writer illustrates the research methodology, material sources, and the literature review of the relevant study, the significance and aims of the study.In the first chapter, the writer briefly introduces the reasons of Chinese transliterations of Mongolian and foreign personal names, and rules and methods of the transliteration.In the second chapter, the writer analyzes the situation and the characteristics of Chinese transliterations of Mongolian personal names based on the corpus of thirty thousands names and translated version.In the third chapter, according to the analysis of Chinese transliterations of Mongolian personal names, the writer develops Table of Corresponding Chinese Transliterations of Mongolian Personal Names.In the fourth chapter, the writer provides suggestions of the rules and methods of Chinese transliterations of Mongolian personal names.At last the writer gives a brief conclusion of the whole thesis.
