Lao-zi is one of Pre-Chin philosophers, The books of Pre-Chin philosophers are crystallization of ancient ideas and wisdom, To a certain extent,their thought is foundation for thousands of years Chinese culture history. Therefore, it can't understand Chinese history and culture without understanding the pre-qin thinkers. Lao-zi's Taoist school founder,"Lao-zi"provides important data for study of ancient Chinese words, this paper focuses on idiom in "Lao zi". In reference to predecessors based on research results, this paper adhere to combine with the idiom contents and forms, finalize the design and quantitative, case investigation and system study, objective description and theoretical summary, In the notice of "Lao-zi" idiom itself synchronic study at the same time, it also examines the social and cultural background of idiom, and then it reveals the"Lao zi"idiom's semantic features and historical culture connotation.
