The object of the folklore is folk literary works which was formed though Word-of Mouth Communication. Since the formation of disciplines in the nineteenth century, folklore reseach has achieved fruitful achievements. The researches about the factors of the folklore literature appeared in a large numbers in various traditional cultures, which related the research about the relation between the Bible in the Hebrew culture and folklore. The relative research in this area has achieved certain results which still seems thin and not comprehensive enough abroad. In our country, duing to the pinch of related datas, there are few results on this subject. Based on this situation, in the theroy of the folklore, this paper attempts to sort and analyze the Bible in the stability and variability of two levels in order to show the characteristics of folk literature in reading paragraphs of the biblical text.The paper consists of three parts: the introduction, the main text and the conclusion.The"Introduction"reviews and sorts the achievements and the current situation both home and abroad about the Bible and folklore study, establishing the significance and the research perspective of this topic based on the former studies.The main text includes four chapters.The first chapter"characteristics of the folk literature and the Bible"consists of two parts. The first part outlines the various genres of folk literature, analyzes the written folklore, and discriminates the folklore from writer-literature and popular literature. The second part describles the relationship between the Bible and the folklore, and analyzes the unification of stability and variability in folklore.The second chapter"the stability of the biblical text"also consists of two parts. The first part analyzes the simple repetitions which exists in the sentences, paragraphs, and general ideas of the Bible through examples. On the basis of analysis, the second part emphasizes"the life model of heroes", and sums up the exertion of the model in the Bible. The third chapter"the variblity of the biblical text"consists of four parts. Through a large number of examples, the paper analyzes the various variation in the Bible in four aspects: the variation of the names, the variations of numbers, variations in the sequence of events and other changes.The four chapter"the integration of the written and oral literature of the Bible"consists of two parts. The first part"the appearance of the writting features in the Bible"remarks some written features in the biblical text. The second part"the parallel of the written and oral characteristics in the Bible"refers that the writing features and verbal features appear in this book simultaneously, even in a same text.The conculsion is the summary and intension of the former discussions. Combining the canonization process of the Bible, this paper sums up the process from the oral to the writting of the Bible, and emphasizes the cultural significance to research the folkore of the Bible.
