The early years of new China was a historical period,which was from the founding of the People's Republic of China to the end of the basic completion of socialist transformation in 1956.It was an important turning point of China's historical development.In this period,the Chinese Communist Party and the government who promoted large-scaled transformation and powerful integration established a vibrant vigrous new society.The transformation that the Chinese Communist Party and the government conducted for the society included two aspects:getting rid of corrupt morals and setting up new customs. On the one hand, the whole community removed the legacy of the feudal society basically and purified the social atmosphere by banning prostitution, drug trafficking as well as drug abuse and abolishing the feudal marriage system by moral and legal and other measures. In addition, the Chinese Communist Party and the government gained the victory over suppressing counter-revolution, settled law and order, relieved disaster and unemployment through various efforts, which were the people most concerned about, most direct and practical interests, achieved the reorganization of the chaotic social order and stability of the masses life. On the other hand, the Chinese Communist Party and the government made themselves serve as examples to others, building a fine Party culture and keeping its organization clean. At the same time,they launched activities of altering old customs and habits in the whole society,and promoted a new style of hard work, diligence and frugality actively.The Party and the government carried out powerful social integration in order to promote and consolidate social transformation.The integration included organizational intergration and ideological intergration.The organizational integration reflected in two aspects:implemented overall control on social and economic activities;organized the community comprehensively. The ideological integration reflected in three aspects:propagated Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought massively;carried out political study and ideological remolding movement to intellectuals;promoted anti-illiteracy movement in rural areas.As a result,the Party and the government achieved social integration of the economic, politic, culture and many other aspects at a high level.The people united together unprecedently to struggle for the socialist construction.The transformation and integration which the Chinese Communist Party and govnment conducted towards society received impressive results.In the early years of new China, the social morality was cleaned up,and the people united as one. Reviewing and summarizing the historical experience of this period have important practical significance for the modern society to strengthen Party building, advocate rule by viture, and build a harmonious society.
