Biography Of Lishen And Research Of His Work

Lishen was the poet at Yuanhe Reign in mid-Tang dynasty, he was one of the important members of Yuanbai school, he had promoted the development of "The New Musical Conservatory Movement", his position and role as the initiator in the "The New Musical Conservatory Movement" can not be ignored.Most of the Lishen's poems have been lost, in the works that only exist, we can classify the poem creation into two stages, i.e., early and late stages.The poem style in the early period is popularization and that of the late stage is the elegance with literary quotations. As for the cause of the transformation of the poem style, apart from the transformation of aesthetic taste of itself, the transformation in style of writing of the age is also an important cause.In the meantime, the poem of Lishen has the characteristics of diversification in poem style, skillfulness in narration & sentiment and combination of Confucian, Taoist and Buddhism thought.The thesis is classified into 4 chapters:the first chapter is the introduction, it mainly introduces the current situation of research on Lishen, raises some existing problems and shortcomings, in addition, it summarizes the document on the research on Lishen's biography and poems by people from contemporary & ancient times.The second chapter mainly introduces the lineage & biography of Lishen, it focuses on the analysis of relation between Lishen & Niu Faction and Li Fation, thus analyses the influence to poem of Lishen regarding the creation quantity, sentiment expression and creation content.The third chapter is on the relation between Lishen and The New Musical Conservatory Movement, it focuses on the exploration of his position and role as the initiator in the "The New Musical Conservatory Movement", in addition, it analyzes the internal & outer cause for creation of "New Musical Conservatory" by Lishen.The fourth chapter analyzes the artistic characteristics of Lishen's poem from the view point of difference between poem styles in early & late of Lishen's poem.
