| Tao Wu Xian Ping also called predestination of the pearl, fifty chapters and a pandect, describing that how the main character Wei zhongxian in Ming dynasty became a notorious eunuch from a riffraff and hung himself finally. It had no writer's name in the original version, but it was generally thought to be written by Li qing who was a historian at the end of Ming dynasty. It is a novel of social criticism combining the history and worldly affairs. This paper, on the basis of previous studies, tries to analyze the part of worldly affairs and reveal the conflicts of royal court in Ming dynasty through the combination of history. This paper will focus on exploring the figure Hou qiuhong who gets less attention but possesses special values, the conflicts of royal court and the success of its linguistic art and satire art.This paper has four chapters.The introduction summarizes the historic and current study to the ferocious comments, and illustrates the reason and meaning of choosing this topic,and the research,the focal point,the difficulty point of the article.In first chapter, it is a pandect, combining the previous study on the novel, publishing time and the author Li qing.In the second chapter, it describes the social life including life of the ordinary and conflicts of royal court. The first one focuses on studying the first twenty chapters in the novel, and shows a colorful life picture in later Ming dynasty by analyzing the experiences and activities of Wei zhongxian in his humble days. The second one focuses on the life of Wei zhongxian after his castration. This paper reappears the life in royal court in those days, and dissects the author's deep thought about the bane of eunuch.In the third chapter, it analyzes figures in the novel, emphasizing on Hou qiuhong given less attention before and the main character Wei zhongxian.In the fourth chapter, it analyzes the artistic achievements of the novel. It analyzes the artistic achievements from two aspects:linguistic art and satire art. |
