This paper focuses mainly on network language violence as its research object. At the synchronic level, it also analyzes the causes and countermeasures of network language violence. The paper is divided into four chapters.The introductory part gives the definition of network language violence and introduces the status quo of the research on it.Chapter One examines the manifestations and characteristics of network language violence. It explores the characteristics of language followed the body part, that is, it continues to use the violent words popularized during the period of Cultural Revolution, which is characterized by cursing languages and ill-intentioned and abusive usage of "Humen Flesh Search Engine" and so on. Meanwhile, the characteristics of network language violence is set up on the basis of the fundamental characteristics of network language, which is characterized by simplicity, colloquiality, diversity of rhetorical devices and attachment of violent vocabularyChapter Two makes a diagnosis of the causes of network violence from various dimensions such as from the dimension of society, individual and network transmission.Chapter Three clarifies the harmfulness of network language violence, which is mainly hazardous to the principle of interpersonal transmission, the principle of courtesy as well as the principle of truthfulness and also causes the breakdown of the contemporary Chinese and the traditional Chiese moralityChapter Four proposes the "dilutedness policy" to achieve the goal of lessening the abuse of network language violence through the concerted efforts of law, supervisory mechanism, punlic opinion and monitoring, all with an expectation of optimizing the value of the Internet through heteronomy from the Internet and the netizen's self-discipline...
