In recent years, as a foreign language, Korean language education has been a tremendous development. With South Korea's international status' development, the Korean language education whether in Korea or abroad, is becoming a trend. Especially with the rise of Korean in China people who want to learn Korean are rapidly increasing. However, to learn Korean well is not an easy task. The author believes that a comparative study with the mother tongue is an effective shortcut to learn a foreign language. Therefore, this paper is also the comparison between the language of the ROK and China.This paper is a comparative study of Chinese quantifiers and Korean classification words. In both Korean and Chinese language, there exist so many unit words which have wide range of applications, and even can be regarded as a separate grammar system to study. Although Korean and Chinese are not members of the same language family, but because of a long history of cultural exchanges between Korea and China, many of Korean unit words come from Chinese, and are still in use. So what are the differences and the similarities of the unit words of Korean and Chinese language. In order to grasp the Korean classification words better, this paper will be a study of Korean classification words and Chinese quantifiers from a comparative point of view. We obtained similarities and differences according to comparison, and then discussed teaching Methods of Korean classification words.Specific study according to the following:The first chapter describes major research goals, methods and status of the classification words.The second chapter, from definition, syntax and semantics Korean classification words and Chinese quantifiers were compared and we find similarities and differences.Chapter III, according to the comparison of Chapter II, is about the Korean teaching methods of classification words.Chapter IV is the conclusion of this paper.So far, South Korean and Chinese grammar book and conversation book were published a lot, but there are not many papers comparing the two languages. I hope this thesis can be helpful in Korean learning and can provide suggestions in Korean teaching.
