Flaubert is the French writer in the history of Nineteenth-century literature, his creation of epoch-making significance, not only to undertake the writing style of traditional realism, but also created a new style of modernism. Over the years, critics like to study on Flaubert's novel from the perspective of art style,but a study is often overlooked in his novels, that is another unique phenomenon in his novels, the writing of the death conciousness. "Death" is the theme of Flaubert concern, in his novels, with a different kind of display mode and deep meaning. This article will focus on the eternal theme of death, starting from the text interpretation to the death of philosophy, giving the sense of the death of Flaubert's concrete expression in his works, which sum up these forms behind the concept of death.Paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction to the works of Flaubert and Flaubert studies on the overall domestic and foreign, as well as the issue of innovations.The second part will combine the reading of text and concrete manifestation about awareness of death in the novel, to illustrate the three aspects from the language, plot, characters. The third part will discuss the characteristics of Flaubert's death conciousness:recognition of the irresistible nature of death; preference for solitude and desolation of death; face the death Calmly and objectively.The fourth part will discuss the consciousness of Flaubert's death to the root, not only from the family environment, this article analyzes the causes of Flaubert's death consciousness and the history of Western philosophy,but also from the perspective of the origin of consciousness of Flaubert's death awarenessThe fifth part is the conclusion. I summed up the unique position in literary history and the influence on other writers.
