Western classical literature A Letter from an Unknown Woman and Hamlet from the oversea are adapted into Chinese movies A Letter from an Unknown Woman and The Banquet respectively, and provides another style classical literature to Chinese audience. They finish the process from western classical literature to Chinese movies in visual arts, narrative theme and cultural function aspects.This paper bases on the China and Western cultural differences, analyzes the cultural phenomenon of Western classical literature adapted to Chinese movies, to discuss the thoughts of cross-cultural communication brought by culture transition under global language environment.
