| After being introduced into China from the West, feminicism explored a field of feminine research, including the research on feminine consciousness, which is self-oriented,self-sopported,self-esteemed and based on her particular experience and knowledge. It also refers to a self-consciousness perceived from three aspects of females——physical and mental structure, social structure and historical structure, which acted as an measurer of feminine literary works and artistic production. Specifically it is demonstrated in two ways. On the one hand, it is a perception into themselves with the feminine vision, confirming essence, meaning of life and their social status; on the other hand, it is an observation of the outside world in the position of females and understanding with feminine characteristics. I shaohong,as the fifth generation director of China, she has aroused huge public attention and interests, because of her special identity as a female herself, her conspicuous demonstration of feminine consciousness and her distinct art feature with feminine implication. Her text of film and television serials always contains and embodies spirit of feminine independence self-esteem and consciousness of equality and mutual respect between males and females, trying to depict the spiritual seek, values and psychological distinction of females. She showed us a rich and varied world of females, from a very unique angle. Meanwhile she continued to pursue and explore, sharing her extraordinary appreciation of history, life and sentiments. She has chosen her own unique way of expression of female, revealing that women are emerging to the surface arduously from their historical vacancies and becoming visible. The three serials in length Thunderstorm, Palace of Desire, and "orange red , which were directed by Li shaohong and named by the media as Women Trilogy, have laid a solid foundation for the feminine film and television production of China. Her works that contains feminine consciousness is also a sample of feminine studies.。The objects of study of this thesis include Li shaohong's production and films and television serials, discussing and analyzing the influence of feminine consciousness in her works. In the method of feminism criticizing as well as social and historical criticism, textual criticism, narrative, criticism, reception aesthetics her television programs and movies will be placed in the context of the times and the history and culture. We are attempting to figure out the process of origin, formation, development and completion of feminine consciousness and artistic features in her works brought by it.Morever, we would like to make a further analysis on its value, meaning and imitation, in an attempt of providing a beneficial enlightenment of feminine production.This paper touches upon the current situation of Li shaohong's research and significance of choosing this subject. It then describes her life experience , production process ,and aesthetic, poetic, delicate artistic characteristics in her video creation and work ; Furthermore it probes in the background and the reasons of the formation of feminist consciousness and the performance of their video creation process.Morever it tells us in what ways that she reveals this in her films and television works, respectively from the narrative perspective, narrative techniques methods, narrative structure, image creation and so the discussion of artistic expression in the female characteristics, showing her feminine thinking characteristics in creation .Finally it discusses the value and significance of the film and television arts in China and its limitations. Her ways of demonstrating the feminine consciousness in the works have set an good example, which are providing basis and cases for gender criticism and theory with her uniqueness . |
