Based on the literary tradition, A Dream of Red Mansions—the great literature of China set up some fine courtyard combined with the character of their master such as Yi Hong Yuan, Heng Wu Yuan, Qiu Shuang Zhai, etc. The Xiao Xiang Guan—the house of Lin Daiyu is the best one in the literary output. It not only owned the temperament of Lin Daiyu but also changed its surroundings follow Daiyu's feeling.The paper divided into three parts. The first part is the summarize of ancestors' research. In the second part the relationship of surroundings and characters from ancient literature is sorted out to compare with the surroundings in A Dream of Red Mansions. In the third part Xiao Xiang Guan and Lin Daiyu are analyzed weightily.
