On Metaphoric Configuration Of Wen-hsin Tiao-lung

About the structure of Wen-hsin Tiao-lung, researches always focus on the hierarchy partition or the chapter's order in academic circles. But most of the researchers couldn't discover clues deeply hid in the text, for example, the Metaphoric Configuration of Wen-hsin Tiao-lung. The modern researches on the metaphor hold the opinion that the metaphor is not only a kind of rhetorical devices but also a way of thinking. Under some circumstances, the metaphor can even play a decisive role in the text structure. From this point, this thesis did a whole new research on the structure of Wen-hsin Tiao-lung by analyzing the metaphors in this book. This paper summarizes the Metaphoric Configuration of Wen-hsin Tiao-lung in the following three aspect:1,The metaphor of "Nature-Man-TextUnity" and the structure of "Noumenon-Sage-Text";2,The metaphor of "the Origin and the Outcome of things" and the structure of "Universe-Classics-poetry in the style of Li Sao";3,The metaphor of "Text-Man" and the structure from "one-to-one" to "Combination".Based on the clarification of the metaphor's concept, and established in the aspect of philosophy, Chapter One fixed the structure of "Noumenon-Sage-Text" from an analysis of the metaphor of "Nature-Man-TextUnity". Established in the aspect of history, Chapter Two fixed the structure of "Universe-Classics-poetry in the style of Li Sao" from an analysis of the metaphor of "the Origin and the Outcome of things". Chapter Three, at first, a structure of "one-to-one" about "Text" and "Man" from an analysis of the metaphor of "Body Metaphors". And then, the structure changed to "Combination" based on the metaphor of "Text-Man". At last, we can drew a conclusion that the Metaphoric Configuration of Wen-hsin Tiao-lung has two deep limitations:1, The independent significance of Literature was destructed dispelled in the mode of Confucian Orthodoxy.2, The structure of "Nature-Man-TextUnity" was too ideal too be put into practice.
