Research Of The Evolution Of Dong Minority Costume Culture In Social Transition Period

In the economic transition period, Dong minority's traditional costumes are facing new options for survival due to the loss of human values and the challenge of commodity secularization. The costume culture of any minority is created and generated in the particular natural and social environment. With the change of the times, and under the transformation mechanism of the society in particular, the adjustment of costume connotation has become irresistible. Based on the perspective of fashion sociology, the theories, such as clothing cultural change and social transformation, are used to research Dong minority costume culture, analyze its evolution in cultural aspect under the context of social transformation. Through the comparison between the traditional costume form and modern dress form, we shall deduce the characteristics of changes in Dong minority clothing culture, and consider the strategies for making the Dong minority costume culture adapt to heritage mechanism change.As an ethnic minority in southern China, Dong has superior ethnic characteristics and enjoys the rich costume culture. Research workers have conducted a lot of research on the Dong dress culture and the Dong minority history, mainly focusing on data compilation and individual Dong area survey. However, the research on the evolution of the dress culture in combination with the society transition period, is not only the weak link in the Dong minority research field, but also a topic of great practical significance in the domestic ethnic minority research field.
