The Study Of New Journalism Expression Techniques In Hemingway's Short Stories From The Perspective Of Existentialism

Ernest Hemingway was a novelist, short-story writer, and journalist. His special writing style is closely related to his special times background and working experience. This thesis aims to study the expression techniques of new journalism in Hemingway's short stories from the perspective of existentialism.First, this thesis analyzes new journalism in Hemingway's works from aspects of the dramatic scene, recording dialogue in full, status details, point of view, interior monologue and composite characterization. Second, this thesis analyzes existentialism in Hemingway's works from aspects of the existentialism and nihilism, dread and death, the absurd world and choice and freedom. So Hemingway as a journalist, he through new journalism techniques described what he saw and what he heard and showed his life attitude which was the same as world view of existentialism.
