German Expressionism is a wonderful work in the modern western arthistory, which was popular in the end of nineteenth century and in the early ofthe twentieth century in Germany and has had the enormous influence onEuropean cultural fields . Its painting comes from rebelling against thetraditional art, it means that the painting formal language breakthrough andmakes the unprecedented contribution to the modern artistic formdevelopment. German Expressionism painting pays great attention tomanoeuvre on all form factor and the language ,which presents the artist'semotion idea and transmit the profound connotation of the pictures. In orderto create the powerful form meaning that causes the different branch GermanExpressionism artists explores positively to the different style tendency. Theearly German Expressionism artists depended on the unprecedented pursueand the courage to the painting art, gives the picture with their unique forms.The performance of the stroke is annotating them specially to theexpressionism painting's understanding and the practice process. To a greatextent ,the stroke made the early time stage German Expressionism painting unique artistic value achievement,for the attention,the exploration and thehuge impulse displayed to the stroke.This article that begins at the German Expressionism painting strokestyle origin and forms,to analyze the characteristic about the GermanExpressionism various branches painting stroke, and taking several typicalearly time's German Expressionism artist's stroke as the example, through thecharacteristic, forms ,and the artistic value, to concludes that the paintingstroke should be the way which unifies through the intuition and the practice,to guide the rational practice and exploration by the intuition sense organ andto realize the expression about the picture in-depth esthetic boundary finally.
