Based on overviews of former researches, individual interviews and open questionnaires, the article expatiates on the theoretical assumptions of psychological adaptation of fresh students in Senior 1, and on this basis, the primary questionnaire is developed. After the initial test and the corresponding statistical analysis, the formal questionnaire with good reliability and validity is also developed. Furthermore, with the self-designed questionnaire on psychological adaptation of fresh students in Senior 1, a test was carried out among 1000 freshmen from 4 high schools of different levels in Luzhou. The results show that:(1) The self-designed questionnaire on psychological adaptation of fresh students in Senior 1 is of high reliability and fair validity. Through factor analysis, it is found that the psychological adaptation of fresh students in Senior 1 consists of four factors: learning adaptation, interpersonal adaptation, living adaptation and emotional adaptation, which are basically agreeable to the author's theoretical assumptions.(2) There is some difference between girls and boys in the emotional adaptation and females have more problems of emotional adaptation.(3) Compared with the boarding students, non-resident students have more adjustment problems in the emotional adaptation, learning adaptation, living adaptation and the total mark of adaptation.(4) Students whose self-evaluation mark is "relatively poor" have more adjustment problems than those whose self-evaluation mark is "general" and "better" in the emotional adaptation, learning adaptation, living adaptation and the total mark of adaptation.(5) Students in the Advanced Class have more problems of the emotional adaptation than those in the Experimental Class and other classes; while students in other classes with relatively poor grades have more problems of learning adaptation than those in the Advanced Class and the Experimental Class.(6) Students, graduating from city Junior High and county Junior High distinctly have more problems of living adaptation than those from small town schools.
