Cao Wenxuan, Beijing University Professor, is an outstanding writer at present Chinese Literary arena. Over thirty years,with his talented mind ,he published many outstanding books. To the contemporary literary arena, the most value of these works lies in the esthetics aspect which present the huge significance and the explanation space. This thesis plans take esthetics as the instruction, analyzes the esthetics characteristic of Cao Wenxuan's works by three parts.The first part tries to analyze the language characteristic of Cao Wenxuan's works. The literature is a kind of language art. If a book wants to be welcomed by people, it needs to have the splendid language. This thesis thinks that the language of Cao Wenxuan's book is fluency, nature, spirited, fresh and poetic. It mainly benefits from the harmonious beauty and the color beauty of his language. He is good at seeking for the rhythm from the words and expressions which is simply, natural, fresh, gentlely. He forms the harmony and elegant of the language by the spoken language and enables the language to have the rich poetic sentiment. He uses kinds of color, arouses each kind of sense organ, makes the work to become a world which has sound, light, color and shade and enhances the visual impulse of the works' language.The second part pays attention to analyze the image of Cao Wenxuan's works. The most prominent characteristic of Cao Wenxuan should be the creation and the utilization of the image. The beauty of image is also the most important aspect of his works' esthetics characteristic. He takes "the water" image as the core, created "the water" "the pigeon" "the female" and so on a series of image group. Cao Wenxuan has poured his own emotion into these bright images, enabled them to have the intense symbol and metaphorical, thus strengthened the work connotation and dynamics, expanded the work esthetic explanation space. The water is symbolizing the humanity's life, the desire. The water's natural and the shape had decided this image has that kind pure, flowing beauty, "the pigeon" "the white horse" and so on animal images, are the avator of the strength and beauty in the books. Which represents the humanity's pursuit of freedom.these animals image and "the blue flower" and something else plant image, increased the work performance. "the feminine image" which has naive and the chastity, is the best testimony for the writer is pursuring the grace.Some image redundant appearance which causes the melody of the work to be more intense. In his poetic language, each kind of image combines the complete work with the emotion, and the book has the esthetics style of movement and standstill, mysterious and reality.The third part wants to analyze Cao Wenxuan's esthetics style. The esthetics style is the performance of a mature writer. Cao Wenxuan's work has formed his alone esthetics style, in his poetic sentiment's language and the ingenious narrative skill, that is: Melancholy and grief, Implicit and elegantly. This thesis thinksthat the core words and expressions of Cao Wenxuan's work are: elegance, melancholy, sympathy, implication. Cao Wenxuan is good at describing the graceful natural scenery and human activity, the books display the feeling of refreshing and charming. The beautiful natural scenery and the good human nature constituted his books' gaceful character. He cares the misery in the daily life by the sympathetic mood, examines the the humanity condition which is drift, and the book has the melancholy feeling. The writer uses Writing Techniques: the emotion controlling, the suggestion, leaving space and so on, enables the books have the beauty of implication. Cao Wenxuan's work mixing the classicism,the romanticism and the modernism.At last, this thesis think that Cao Wenxuan always insisted seeking the elegance and the pure in the contemporary literary arena which is noise. The love and the beauty is keynote of his books. He wants to seek for one purely space in the literature. His book has the elegant style, the sympathy mood, the melancholy consciousness, which are the contemporary literary arena lacked.The esthetics explanation to his work t, has the more value to the contemporary literary arena.
