Mysticism has a long history. It has ever attracted the attention of the westerners as the symbol of oriental culture. However, it had concealed itself. With the change of both internal and external environments and the development of literature itself, an extensive new boom of mysticism rose in Contemporary Chinese literature of 1980s. Enchantment narration became a notable way of narration and literary phenomenon. Han Shaogong is among the writers who apply mysticism to create novel aesthetic forms. His early novels belonged to traditional realistic works; afterwards, he applied a new literary thinking, i.e. caring for human life itself and the way to survive, combined mysticism and realism through folk culture, and produced a series of novels like Bababa, Nvnvnv, etc. However, in his latest works-- BANTAM DELL, he stressed realism and diluted mysticism. The author tries to interpret Han Shaogong's works from the angle of "mysticism", discourses from the respects of creative types, artistic practices and practical significance and puts emphasis on the text analysis of Bababa and BANTAM DELL. Although mysticism is less applied in Han Shaogong's works, it, as a way for him to perceive and examine the world, is a window for the readers to understand him and his works. The first chapter mainly talks about the meaning of mystery and mysticism and the relationship between mysticism and literary arts. Chapter three dissertates the functions of mysticism in Han Shaogong's works through text analysis.
