Research On The Policy Of Minority Of Kindom Shuhan

The southwest of ancient China is the land where the minority live on. From the very old time, the local minority have kept contact with the mid-land people in culture and economic area. After Qin dynasty setted Ba and Shu states, this area became one part of the Chinese dynasty. In the West and East Han dynasty, minority in the southwest area, especially Sichuan, Yunnan,Ganshu province in the northwest China, their action were recorded more frequency in Chinese history books. All of these proved that the local minority's action were much more active. Wei Jin and South North dynasty came after West and East Han dynasty, it was the period that every tribe fused with the other and Three kingdoms age is the very beginning of this great period. In this age, ruled the southwest China was the kingdom Shuhan, which was the weakest one of the three kingdoms but the royal offspring of West and East Han dynasty. In order to rebuilt Han dynasty, the rulers of the kingdom had to use every thing they got, made the special policy of minority, enhanced its army to defeated the other two kingdoms. Because of that, kingdom Shuhan controlled the minority in its territory more effective than its rivals and all the other dynasty in the past. Besides that, kingdom Shuhan implemented positive policy to lasso the minority not in its territory, made them become its paramilitary power. Series policies of minority not only enhanced the power of kingdom Shuhan, but also helped the minority communicated with the Han tribe. It was also speeded up the tribe-fusing. Investigate kingdom Shuhan's policy of the minority can help us know the history of Chinese southwest minority, the situation of communication and fusing, the flourish and the decline of kingdom Shuhan. This dissertation will begin with the relationship between the Chinese southwest minority, northwest minority and the Chinese mid-land dynasty, and then analyse the kingdom Shuhan's policy of minority of the southwest Yi tribe and northwest Rong tribe, compare with the other two kingdom's policy of minority, expect to reveal the hallmark and excellency of kingdom Shuhan's policy of minority.
