In Song Dynasty,Xin Qiji is one of the best representative writers in history of Chinese literature with the largest amount of works and the highest achievements and status. He is considered knowledgeable and erudite as well. Influenced greatly by Zhuang Zi and QuYuan, following Du Fu and Su Shi, after all Xin treasures Tao Yuanming the most. He especially applauds Tao Yuanming's nonpartisan personality, honorable courage, and pastoral lifestyle. In fact, he often pursues Tao's way of living. However, his inflated fortitude prohibits him from truly understanding Tao Yuanming's spirit, which accounts for some of his behavior contradictory to Tao's ideal.Taking Xin's following Tao as the research objects and inspecting the concrete process, this thesis traces the origin and reviews the manifestations of Tao Yuanming phenomena in Xin Qiji's odes, adopting the relations between Xin Qiji and Tao Yuanming. Based on the analysis and comparison, it seems clear that they have both similar and different points in outlook on life, values, psychology, the perspective of observing objects and so on. This paper also probes into Tao's works impact on Xin's odes in the period of intermission.This paper focuses its discussion on the relations between Xin Qiji and Tao Yuanming, it is based on that have made examine from writer and the writing of them. This thesis holds that in spite of Xin's true appreciation of Tao Yuanming's attitude toward life, Xin does not completely agree with Tao's opinion. Their personality and cognitive is different . But it is realized that the high frequency that Tao Yuanming and his works are brought up in Xin Qiji's works, and Xin Qiji admires on Tao all the time. He imitates Tao's style from the aesthetic style to the idea conception. Finally, Xin Qiji doesn't reach to the realm of Tao's thoughts, but Tao's impact on Xin's works is so clear in the period of intermission.
