Preface Firstly, to demonstrate the basis of the selected topic and the significance of research in this article from three aspects. This is to be done in order to point out the research value of Guangyun's Guwen. Secondly, make a brief introduction about the research status of this topic: for a long time, concerning Guangyun, the academic community has mainly focused their study on the initial, final and tone of Chinese characters, edition, collation, etc, and pay little attention to the value of Chinese characters. So far, the academic study on Guangyun's Guwen is quite rare, and there is less comprehensive, systematic and in-depth research in this field. Finally, to give a brief introduction of the relevant research methods about this article during the process of the research. There are mainly: the systematicness of complied dictionaries, statistical method and using facts and information found in various places including the book that we are researching in to solve problems.The first chapter: The generation, edition and style about Guangyun Guangyun is based on Qieyun and a lot of revised and enlarged versions. This chapter firstly summarized the development situation of the rhyming dictionaries that based on Qieyun, and among them, we place emphasis on the explanation notes by Tang Zhangsun Nagon, Kanmiubuqueqieyun by Wang Renxu and Tangyun. On this basis, it further points out that Guangyun is a wordbook. Secondly, to introduce the main editions of Guangyun and point out the one that we select for use. The reason why we chose the edition is explained in the end of this section. Thirdly, clarify the style of compilation and its focal points on the style of characters. And at the same time greatly stresses the style of Guangyun's Guwen. Besides, make a supplementary explanation of the principle of counting Guangyun's Guwen.The second chapter: The research of Guangyun's Guwen Firstly, make a brief introduction about the relevant style which explains The research of Guangyun's Guwen. And then according to the relationship between Guangyun and Shuowen, we divide Guangyun's Guwen into two categories: the one that can be found in Shuowen and that cannot be found in Shuowen. Finally, describe every Guangyun's Guwen in great details. As to Guangyun's Guwen that can be found in Shuowen, it can be divided into several categories: the one that derive from Shuowen's Guwen, Zhouwen, Zhuanwen, Huoti and other condition. By explaining Guangyun's Guwen, we can find that most of them have the source, and Guangyun is an important material which preserves Guwen. Conclusion Guangyun recorded Guwen for a total of 213. Among it, the one which come from Shuowen covers up 57 percent. This indicates that Guangyun and Shuowen has a close relation. However, Guangyun inherited Shuowen, it has its own principle of incorporating at the same time. To some extent, the Chinese characters which are seldom used during the dynasty of Tang and Song become the object of Guangyun's Guwen. By comparing Guangyun and Shuowen, the former often focused on the practical usage of the characters to judge whether a character is Guwen. This is reflected in the last class in the section I of the chapter 2. The relationship between Guangyun's Guwen and its standard form is more complicated. It can be generally divided into four cases: writing difference relationship, heterogeneous relationship, phonetic loan relationship, and cognate relationship. However for a variety of reasons, to some Guwen and the standard form, we can't make a correct judgment about the relationship between them.
