As an art symbol and culture media, animated image is bound to function as the media of the dissemination of culture. In our times, there appears a blank in the field of our nation's animated image, which along with the gradual infiltration in various stages of our life will brings about a series of adverse consequences in the ideological field. At present, more and more experts begin to clearly recognize that: with the country's economic, scientific and technological developments, firstly, we should re-estimate the value of the local culture and arts; secondly, we should promote and spread widely our outstanding traditional culture; thirdly, we should re-shape the nation's images in the new era. In the field of animation, it is necessary for us to set up a genuine animated image with Chinese spirits and culture. And we should also put it into a strategic level to develop our own animation market. Moreover, the animated images with characteristics of our local culture are bound to grow out of the rich cultural soil, which reflects our unique aesthetic and ideological scale. In this thesis, the author will study from two aspects: how to develop the Chinese animated images in the new era and the significances of the revival of traditional culture by developing animations. From the cultural aspect, on the one hand, the success of local animated images are bound to promote developing the traditional culture; on the other hand, the inheriting and carrying forward the traditional culture can also improve the development of Chinese animations. For a long period of time, we have not paid serious and close attention to animated images, which are both spiritual and cultural products. This makes us, faced with the abroad animated images, not only lose lots of achievements, but also lose our nation's culture and large local markets. So it is urgent for us to explore the way of developing our nation's animated images. With the purpose of analyzing and solving problems, this thesis is trying to study the situation of the "marginalization" of our animated images, in order to analyze the failure reasons of spreading. Then the author discusses on the design and dissemination of animated images. The next point is how to find our right position in the era of visual consumption; to promote the revival of traditional culture; and finally to be in an invincible position in the times of "cultural competition".
