What's the effect of Wittgenstein's later theory to SSK from sociological angle? Bloor believes that Wittgenstein can be viewed as the same sociological pioneers as Emile Durkheim, Robert Merton, Karl Mannheim and Max Weber. SSK's theory and its application can be traced back to the great philosopher of Wittgenstein's works at 20th century. Especially the key terms of "language game" and "life style" can be explained specifically to social-language activity and social-practice which are relation to specifically social-culture. In a sense, knowledge is a collective achievement and mankind is easy to ignoring the meanings of this fact, and paying little attention to the influence of this fact. But Wittgenstein unreservedly dedicates himself on this research. Wittgenstein essentially regards cognition as a social thing and discuss to it. In Wittgenstein's eyes, groups' interaction and individuals take part in social groups which links together by composed of continually seeking knowledge. Bloor believes that studying on the problems, result in Wittgenstein building the so-called "social knowledge theory". Bloor applies and explains, from sociological angle, Wittgenstein's later theory, especially the notion of "private language" and "rule following." Bloor introduces the concept of meaning determinism and meaning finitism to distinguish and discuss the individualism and collectivism. Wittgenstein opposes private language and thinks that privately following rule is impossible. Only in social context and collective practice can be produced lingual rules and institutions, and then they instruct the behaviors. Bloor draws the conclusions from later Wittgenstein's theory that rules are institutions and rules are exhibition of life style. Language games, rules and institutions can be constructed by the medium of language, and these also are the result of social conventional collective coherent behaviors. The abidance of language game means the existence of rules and rules' existence are out of convention and acknowledge. At daily language, different languages are incommensurate, and in the same language also can be came forth different professional language community. This feel likes that "difference in profession makes one feel worlds apart". However, People can formally communicate with each other, due to they accepted the social conventional coherent language rules.
