A Study On Du Fu's Humble Cottage Poetry

Du Fu is a sensitive and sentimental poet, whose poetry creation was highly vulnerable to the impact of the environment and his personal experiences. Therefore, Du Fu's poetry showed obvious emotional features at different stages. For Du Fu, who led a vagrant life and was full of frustration in his lifetime, the first two years and seven months was a valuabale leasure time which was never obtained in his wandering life. Therefore, his thoughts and creation showed distinct and unique charm at this stage. The hidden desire for reclusion and lighted writting implied in his Humble Cottage Poetry resulted in the transcendence of Du Fu's tragic life and the summit on the arts, and his humbleness in poetry won him the crown of "Holy Poet" in the histry of litereature, which constituted a beautiful scenery line of his Humble Cottage Poetry. This thesis researched on Du Fu's unique mood, his poetic mood and poetic theories in the early stage of Humble Cottage Poetry, focusing on his fruitful drive of his thoughts, creation and theories in the relatively easy leasure time. The author used it as the starting point, trying to reveal his spiritual style and artistic achievements comprehensively and objectively in the early stage of Humble Cottage period.
